Compositing

What I can do for you

I was trained in a fast-paced commercial VFX environment rather than feature film, so my approach is focused on making things look good and workable quickly — and then refining the details as needed.

I started out as an After Effects compositor, later moved into Flame, and eventually became a comp supervisor and Head of 2D department in UPP Advertising. I’ve also done Flame online sessions with clients — though to be honest, that was never my strongest suit. I was never formally trained in Nuke, but I can find my way around it when necessary, but more on a technical level.

I have 15+ years of experience in After Effects and over 10 years in Flame. More recently, I’ve been exploring DaVinci Resolve/Fusion and pushing to learn more of it for commercial workflows.

What tools I use

After Effects
From motion design to full CG compositing, I can handle any kind of color imaging pipeline required for a project. I can also deliver AE projects set up for further editability if clients need to keep iterating.

Flame
A dinosaur, but fuck the haters — there’s still no competition when it comes to Flame’s feature set and its ability to take on heavy, complex projects and just keep going.

DaVinci Resolve/Fusion
I’m not fully there yet skill-wise, but I’m learning fast and actively building it into my toolkit for commercial work.

AI Tools
I'm integrating AI tools into my comp work - retouch, image expansion, roto work, etc. I'm experienced with most commercial AI image and video tools (Midjourney, Magnific, Runway, Kling, etc.). I don’t have much hands-on practice with local workflows like Stable Diffusion or Comfy, but generally I can adapt quickly to AI tools, if a project requires it.
